March 2026 Issue Now Published

The latest issue of the Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, volume 14, number 1, March 2026, is now available on the JTDE website. You can read it at https://jtde.telsoc.org/index.php/jtde/issue/view/52. TelSoc members should wait until the issue is available on the TelSoc website.

The Editorial comments on Australia’s social media ban for under 16 year olds, which came into effect on 10 December 2025. The success or failure of this ban is being closely watched.

The main section is on Telecommunications, in which there are four papers. The topics range from wireless network-on-chip architectures; through security mechanisms in communications and in the cloud; to the use of AI techniques within a network management system.

We also include a review of identified factors for successful digital transformations and a book review of an important new book on telecommunications regulation.

Our historical reprint looks back to 1959 and the introduction of telephone answering machines into the Australian telephone network.

The full issue will be available as part of TelSoc membership by early April.
