All prospective authors, and especially participants in ICDEc and all members of the ICDEc community, are invited to submit their papers to the Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy for a special issue on “Digital Economy Transformation: AI, Data, and Integrated Systems”.

This special issue is edited in collaboration with the chairs of the eleventh edition of the International Conference on Digital Economy (ICDEc 2026, May 14–16, 2026, Tallinn, Estonia). The editors invite the community of researchers from Computer Science, Management, Economics and Social Science fields to submit papers that discuss issues related to the special issue scope.

The convergence of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) with mobile communication and sensing technologies has been converting home places from traditional environments to intelligent, responsive, and informatised living places. This call for papers invites system engineers, IoT developers, data scientists, cybersecurity experts and industry practitioners to submit original research papers and review articles. The papers should consider how mobile communications and sensing technologies can aid in automation, energy management, security, experience, and intelligence in a smart home. This special issue will include current challenges in smart home systems, as well as innovative solutions to these challenges.

Papers are due by 31 July 2026.
